Galen has decades of involvement in the political process and understands issues unique to entities affected by local, state, and federal government and policies. Galen creates realistic, holistic strategies encompassing legal, communications, and political considerations. She provides strategic counsel to public entities, non-profits, businesses, local school districts, libraries, private corporations, and trade associations reach their specific goals.
Galen’s professional experience gives her a unique perspective on the interactions between the private sector and government. Her career includes almost 20 years as a consultant, where she has served as the lead strategist in almost 100 campaigns and has helped secure more than a billion dollars in local funding. Before her consulting career, she was the Chief Counsel for the City of Cleveland, managing all collective bargaining, labor and employment, real estate development, and public records law sections. She also served as an executive assistant to the Mayor of Cleveland, focusing on communications and labor relations. The experience gained by serving in these roles helps Galen understand complex issues and provide strategic counsel to private industries impacted by the public sector or legislation.
