Laura assists clients with legislative issues involving education, construction, economic development, energy, and more. Laura has experience managing client relationships, budgeting, remaining compliant with ethics reporting, serving as PAC Treasurer and various candidates, and reporting. At the local and state levels, she has worked on school choice and fair funding issues, as well as monitored school client issues at the Statehouse. She has experience in the application process for state funding opportunities for clients. Laura has been instrumental in the implementation of legislation representing client interests. In addition, she has been involved at the county level with economic development matters involving county offices, ballot issues, and township jurisdiction.
Prior to joining Taft, Laura was with Capitol Partners. In this role, she led public and media relations for several clients and worked to develop effective media strategies to support and maximize their advocacy efforts in Ohio. In addition, she worked with clients on budget language and securing funds. Laura’s prior experience also includes roles at financial institutions, publishing, and event planning firms.
